Kumkumadi Tailam is a classical Ayurvedic face oil traditionally formulated with saffron as its primary active ingredient. SADHEV's formulation follows the traditional preparation method using saffron from Pulwama, Kashmir, processed within 24 hours of harvest. SADHEV's Kumkumadi Tailam is formulated from a 200-year Ayurvedic vaidyar lineage. The saffron used is sourced from Pulwama in Kashmir and processed within 24 hours of harvest — preserving full potency. The classical preparation method is followed: herbs are cooked with the base oil over slow heat for complete therapeutic transfer. No synthetic ingredients, no shortcuts.
The formulation contains saffron, aloe vera, sandalwood, vetiver and milk, alongside the base oils. Saffron from the Ayurvedic 'varnya gana' category is known for skin radiance. Sandalwood provides antiseptic, toning and cooling properties. Vetiver is cooling and clarifying. Milk gently exfoliates and brightens. Aloe vera hydrates and repairs.
SADHEV Kumkumadi Tailam is best used as a night serum. Apply a few drops to clean skin after your toner and before sleep. During the night, skin enters its natural repair cycle and the tailam works synergistically with this process. For daytime use, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. It can also be used in the morning as part of your routine.
